How it works

Install on Your Server

Wallboard runs on your own Linux server (physical or virtual). We recommend RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, or Debian with at least 4 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM, and 250 GB SSD.

Set up Docker Containers

For easier management, everything operates inside Docker containers for consistent, secure performance and faster deployments.

Connect Local Devices

Your digital signage players connect to your server over HTTPS (port 443), pulling content, updates, and instructions as needed.

Set up Security & Hosting -
Your Way

You manage access, firewalls, and hosting—giving your IT team full control. Want help with updates? We offer support if needed.

Grant Optional Outbound Access

If your network allows limited outbound access, you can enable automatic software updates and third-party integrations. Prefer full isolation? No problem - your team can handle updates manually or request help when needed.
